Are
you ready? Here it comes. Get it in the camera and we'll
put it on the screen. Use whatever you can because this
is not Hollywood and you don't have to know what you're
doing. It's happening now and it's nothing without you.
LIMP is an independent, local organization working to
help local artists make and screen short films. We focus
primarily, but not exclusively, on lady-made and lady-related
work. By asking participants to express their story as
uniquely as possible, LIMP explores the relevance of video
as an art form and political tool. In an age associated with
commercialism, Hollywood hype, conformity, and patriarchy,
we invite viewers and video-makers to abandon mainstream
attitudes enough to expose them, to find a voice that
speaks of individuality, passion, culture, revolution,
feminism, the nature of now, and the importance of community
support of independent art.
How to Get Her Done: Come watch. Come with open eyes and
ears. Who knows what we'll show? Watch what you see.
Shows happen at 7 pm on the 22nd of every month.
To submit a video, make one. Say it how you see it, however
you want, using what you can. Make a short documentary,
mockumentary, stop-motion, music video, how-to, sci-fi,
comedy, romance, action, horror, suspense, animation,
examination. Leave the NYC film school mentality at the
door and share what's important to you. Your humor, your
voice, your view, your heart, your soul, your silly little
ideas are what we're looking for. Limited equipment may
be available if you're into that kind of thing and we
request that videos be no longer than 20 minutes.
Contact Pam at fightfake@aol.com or at Atomic Saucer at
